Bios:

  • Dr. Joshua C. Collins is a Full Professor of HRD in the Department of Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. He currently serves as the President of the Academy of HRD until 2028. His research emphasizes systems of Critical HRD through examinations of LGBTQ+ issues, critical feminist epistemology, intersectionality, social movement learning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Dr. Collins has published dozens of peer reviewed articles, most of which appear in scholarly journals central to HRD, including Human Resource Development Review, Human Resource Development International, and Advances in Developing Human Resources. He is co-editor of the first Palgrave Handbook of Critical HRD (Collins & Callahan, 2023) and co-author of the book Human Resource Development: Critical Perspectives and Practices (Bierema, Callahan, Elliott, Greer, & Collins, 2023). Dr. Collins has received numerous awards for his scholarly contributions, including: the 2022 and 2023 R. Wayne Pace HRD Book of the Year Award, 2021 Laura Bierema Excellence in Critical HRD Award, 2017 Early Career Scholar Award, 2017 ADHR Outstanding Issue Award, 2015 Monica M. Lee Research Excellence Award, multiple Academy of HRD Cutting Edge Awards, and the 2018 University Council for Workforce and HR Education Assistant Professor Award. Dr. Collins is an Editorial Board member for HRDR and ADHR, previously served as Associate Editor for New Horizons in Adult Education and HRD.

  • Dr. Ague Mae Manongsong is an Assistant Professor in the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development at Louisiana State University. She is an Associate Editor of Human Resource Development International. She also serves as Program Co-Coordinator of the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) Mentoring Partner Program. She is the recipient of the 2026 University Forum for Human Resource Development Early Career Research Award for Best Paper, the 2024 AHRD Cutting Edge Award, and was First Runner-Up for the 2023 AHRD Malcolm S. Knowles Dissertation of the Year Award. Her research focuses on the use of mentoring for professional and leadership development, professional identity development, and organizational development, with particular attention to women’s career development, application of intersectionality, and mentoring systems. Her work has been published in leading human resource development journals and has been supported by the National Science Foundation and other international research partnerships.
