Bios:

  • Dr. Darlene Russ-Eft is Professor Emeritus and former Chair of Adult and Higher Education, Oregon State University (OSU) and currently Assistant Professor of Practice in Technology Leadership and Innovation, Purdue University. She also teaches in the doctoral program at the National Institute for Development Administration in Bangkok, Thailand. Darlene worked as a Senior Research Scientist for the American Institutes for Research and later as director of research for international training companies before joining OSU. She has published numerous articles and books related to HRD evaluation. She has been AHRD President, Editor of the journal Human Resource Development Quarterly, and a board member of the American Evaluation Association. Darlene has been inducted into the HRD Scholar Hall of Fame and elected as a Fellow to the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction

  • Dr. Jie Ke is Associate Professor of Human Resource Development at Jackson State University. Jie obtained her Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from Texas A&M University and holds an MBA from EDHEC in France. Her research interests include assessment and evaluation, and effectiveness of eLearning. Jie served as managing editor with the International Journal of Human Resource Management, and is currently a member of the AHRD Board of Directors as well co-chair of the China SIG. She has been serving as the chair and co-chair for the Assessment and Evaluation Track of annual AHRD International Research Conferences since 2017. Jie has been an external evaluator of two National Science Foundation grant projects, the Principle Investigator of two grants in improving the learning of underrepresented adult undergraduates, and the co-director of a Kellogg Foundation grant project.
