Bios:

  • Dr. Jamie L. Callahan is Professor of Organization and Ethics at Durham University. She is the former Editor of Human Resource Development Review and current Co-Editor of International Journal of Management Reviews. Jamie has earned numerous research awards, including the inaugural Laura Bierema Excellence in Critical HRD Award, the Academy of Human Resource Development 2020 Scholar of the Year Award and the 2015 Outstanding Book of the Year Award. Jamie’s research addresses issues of power and privilege in organized contexts, leading her to explore marginalized groups’ experiences of leadership, learning, and organizational transformation. Her particular passion is championing gender equity.

  • Dr. Laura L. Bierema is a Professor in the College of Education in the University of Georgia’s program of Adult Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development. Laura’s research interests include workplace learning, career development, women's development, organization development, executive coaching, leadership, and critical human resource development. Laura holds both bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan State University and a doctorate in adult education from the University of Georgia. She has over 160 publications, including ten books and the award-winning text Adult Learning: Linking Theory & Practice with Dr. Sharan B. Merriam. Laura served as Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the UGA College of Education from 2013-2017.

  • Dr. Tomika W. Greer is an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston. She has extensive experience in corporate training, learning, and development across several industries. In her research, Tomika uses a social justice lens to study postsecondary education/training, job transitions, and work-life integration in order to help women and marginalized groups manage and develop thriving and sustainable careers. Her research appears in prominent journals and conference proceedings within the HRD, adult education, psychology, and management fields. Tomika was a member of the AHRD Board of Directors from 2018 to 2024.
